Regional Manager – Unilever Grocery

Area Covers:  Northern Ireland, Liverpool & surrounding areas

Permanent, Full-Time

Salary upto £40K per annum, annual bonus + other benefits including private health care, annual leave purchase

Can you lead, motivate and engage a field sales team to deliver results? We have a unique opportunity to join us as a Regional Manager on our Unilever Grocery account. As a Regional Manager your focus will be on performance managing your field team - ensuring delivery of results through field-based coaching, team meetings, training, development and appraisals. Ideally, you will have experience of leading a field based team preferably within the FMCG industry. You will also have experience in a client facing enviroment and be strong at building relationships with key stakeholders. Your team will be operating in the Grocery sector, visiting the big 4 supermarkets plus Boots, B&M and Poundland, enhancing product availability and visibility. 

 

You will also be responsible for the following:

 

  • People management & team leadership
  • Ownership of team performance in delivering agreed objectives
  • Training, coaching & development 
  • Working in partnership with our in-house recruitment team to recruit & retain
  • Commercial insight from the field, providing effective and timely reporting
  • Developing and enacting joint business plans with the Client to deliver results

Please note this role requires a full UK manual driving licence (with no more than 6 pts or previous bans), all offers will be subject to successful completion of a DVLA licence check. This is a field based role which will involve regular travel on a daily basis, so you must be comfortable driving distance. Overnights may be required on occasion.

Due to growth, we are looking for additional Regional Managers to join our expanding Unilever Grocery Team.

 

This is the perfect opportunity for a current Grade 3 ready for the next step in their career OR current Grade 2 looking to diversify their RM experience.  

 

As a Regional Manager your focus will be on performance managing your field team - ensuring delivery of results through field-based coaching, team meetings, training, development and appraisals. Ideally, you will have experience of leading a field based team preferably within the FMCG industry. You will also have experience in a client facing enviroment and be strong at building relationships with key stakeholders. 

 

Our Unilever Grocery team represent the range of personal care, nutrition, homecare, beauty & wellbeing . Calling on Grocery stores, they work with our current customer base to increase the presence and sales of the Unilever portfiolio (Tresemme, Lynx, Comfort, hellmann's).

 

You will also be responsible for the following:

 

  • People management & team leadership
  • Ownership of team performance in delivering agreed objectives
  • Training, coaching & development 
  • Working in partnership with our in-house recruitment team to recruit & retain
  • Commercial insight from the field, providing effective and timely reporting
  • Developing and enacting joint business plans with the Client to deliver results

Ideally you will have experience of leading and motivating a sales team within a previous role.  However, this is not essential and joining the Unilever team is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready for the next step whilst being supported by a strong Regional Management and Leadership team.  You will be considered a high performer in your current role and ideally will have put yourself forward for additional challenges i.e. projects, active taskforce participant, internal secondments.  Please remember to speak to your line manager before applying as we will need to confirm their endorsement of your application during the recruitment process.
